Spring Bank Holiday weekend May 24th to 27th.The bunkhouse and tipi both remain available for sole occupancy or individual bookings.
New for 2013 - Internet wi-fi now available.
Also new payphone to help those struggling with the patchy mobile reception in
the area.
Please book evening meals by 1600 whenever possible, especially if you are a large group, or have special requirements.
The Mid Wales Bunkhouse at Woodhouse Farm provides affordable holiday accommodation for groups or individuals.
Set in outstanding countryside midway between Rhayader and Llanidloes it is convenient as a base for exploring Mid Wales and the Elan and Wye Valleys, or as an overnight stop on the Lon Las Cymru cycle route 8, the Trans Cambrian Trail or Glyndwrs Way. The Radnorshire Ring, regional cycle route 25, also passes closeby, and this can easily form part of a circuit across Wales from East to West.
Bunkhouse accomodation is ideal for those who are walking or cycling as it means less equipment to carry and you are assured of a comfortable bed at the end of a long day in the countryside.
The bunkhouse will sleep a maximum of twenty people, and is available for groups or individuals, either self catering, or we can cater for you if booked beforehand.

Upstairs is a dormitory sleeping up to 14 people and downstairs is a family room sleeping up to 6, with disabled access. The dormitory can be split into 4 separate areas with curtains. Please see the bed layout page for more details. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, washing and drying room, common / dining room and of course toilets and showers. As most of our guests bring their own sleeping bags bedding is not included in the price, but duvets are available on request for a small extra charge. Please let us know when making your booking and we will have everything ready for you when you arrive.
The bunkhouse is heated in winter.
Outside there is a covered verandah and garden, along with a barbeque and charcoal pizza oven.
Prices start at £14 per night for an individual and £220 for exclusive use of the entire building by a group. A full price list can be found on the bunkhouse prices page.
For larger groups, or if you are looking for something a little different the tipi is also available during the spring and summer months. This can be used as additional sleeping accommodation for up to 8 people. Alternatively it makes a wonderful and very different focal point for your evening entertainment. Click the 'tipi hire' link on the menu on the left for more information.
For anyone who prefers to camp or bring their own caravans or motor homes we are also able to accommodate them on our small certificated site. The 'camping and caravanning' link on the menu will give you further information.
Meals are available but should be booked in advance. We generally offer a 2 course fixed evening meal, breakfast and packed lunches if required. Other alternatives may be available on request. Please contact us to discuss. There are two local pubs, the Sun Inn and the Mid Wales Inn, both within a couple of miles. Meals are sometimes available at one or the other but should not be relied upon. Our advice is to check beforehand.
Whatever your interest you are assured a warm welcome at the Woodhouse 'Mid Wales Bunkhouse'.
